When it comes to making the decision to switch to artificial grass, you may have a few concerns before you’re willing to part with the money. One of these concerns may be if your artificial lawn will fade in colour.

Below, we explain what materials our artificial grass is manufactured from to prevent any fading in colour and to ensure your artificial lawn will continue to look as good as the day you purchased it, for years to come.

What is artificial grass made from?

Our synthetic turf is manufactured from polypropylene and polyethylene.  Polypropylene is used to make the brown thatch layer. Polyethylene is used to make the blades of artificial grass and is melted down and mixed with colours and other special agents- such as UV resistant elements.

How is artificial grass UV Protected?

Prolonged exposure to the sun’s UV rays can cause fade in colour in many products, both natural and synthetic. To protect our synthetic turf against this, we always manufacture all our products with UV stabilisers. The UV stabilisers are part of the product and are not something that can be washed off or worn off.

Our artificial grass is designed to last a long time and you can enjoy it with peace of mind, knowing that it will continue to look as luscious as the day it was installed for many years to come.
