Do-grass.be is the online shop for the purchase of artificial grass for residential applications from The Grass Company. The Grass Company attaches great importance to the protection of your privacy. The Grass Company respects the privacy of the users of its websites in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation on the protection of privacy. We therefore undertake to treat the personal data provided to us with care.

This privacy statement is inteded for natural persons.

The information that you can find on our website is available without having to provide any personal data. If you provide us with certain personal data via the website, we can already inform you that the possible processing of these is fully in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council of 27 april 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the movement of that data.

The personal data you provide via this website is processed by The Grass Company, Heidestraat 9, 9820 Merelbeke, Belgium. The Grass Company only processes the personal data for the purpose for which they are collected and only as long as this is required.

Collected data

When you visit our website, data from your computer is passed on to us at every visit.

This includes the name of your internet provider, your browser type or the resolution of your screen, as well as the information through which page you visit our websites and which pages you view from our websites. This data is often not personal data. In addition, your computer generally communicates your IP address to us, which in some cases may be personal. In principle, we do not use this information. We evaluate the information statistically on an anonymous base to make the use of our services even more pleasant for all visitors.

a) Cookies

We also want to offer our services as indivdually as possible in the future and continously improve them in order to offer you interesting information. For this reason, we partially use cookies. Cookies are small tekst files that are generated by a web server and are stored on your computer during the online visit by means of the applied web browser.

Do-grass.be uses analysis tools from the external tracking providers mentioned under point b, where cookies use a unique ID of the visitor and a time stamp with the beginning and end of the current session as files. The user's behavior can be registered with this stored visitor's ID.

You can set your browser to inform you before cookies are placed. Moreover, you can completely refuse the placing of cookies in the settings of your browser or mobile device. Refusing cookies can technically lead to a restriction of functionality in certain cases. We therefore advise you to allow the reception of cookies on your computer when visiting the Do-Grass website.

Our website also uses Google Remarketing. This tool places cookies on your device to show you personalized advertisements. These advertisements take into account your previous visits to the website. b) Analysis tools

In order to set up and optimize our website as good as possible, data is registered and stored anonymously by analysis tools and with this data user profiles with a pseudonym are created. For this purpose, use can be made of cookies that make it possible to recognize an internet browser. However, user profiles are not linked to data about the bearer of the pseudonym without the explicit consent of the visitor. IP addresses in particular are made unrecognizable immediatly after entry, making it impossible to link user profiles to IP addresses.

We use analysis tools from Google Analytics. This web analysis service, offered by Google Inc., uses analytical cookies. The information that is collected via the cookies about the use of the website by a visitor is sent to Google together with the IP address of that visitor and stored by Google.

If you are logged into your Google account, you can - depending on your account settings - view and edit certain data that Google collects from sites and apps you visit.

With the incognito mode in Chrome you can surf the internet without logging web pages and files in your browsing history. Cookies are deleted after you close all incognito windows and tabs. Your bookmarks and settings are saved until you delete them.

When you place an order in the Do-Grass e-shop, the following data is collected, processed and used to complete your order: name, first name, title, billing, and delivery address, e-mail address, telephone number and payment details.

For extra sensitive data, we offer you the option of passing it on encrypted. This way your personal information is extra well protected against unauthorized access from third parties. The encryption takes place according to the latest technical security standard, a so-called SSL 256-bit encryption (SSL = Secure Sockets Layer).

c)Payment platform

We use the Ogone platform to process payments in our webshop. Ogone processes your name, address and place of residence as wella s your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Ogone reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, within that context, to share data with third parties. In the case of an application for a deferred payment, Ogone shares personal information and information regarding your financial position with credit rating agencies. All the before mentioned guarantees with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the services of Ogone for which they engage third parties. Ogone does not store your data for longer than is permitted by law.

d) Account

You are responsible for all promotions that have happened with your e-mail address/ account/ password. That is why we do not recommend that you disclose this information to third parties. If you lose control of your password, this can have major consequeneces, you will lose all control over your personal information/ data and you may be subject to legal, binding actions in your name.

Therefore, if your password is no longer valid, for whatever reason, you should immediately ask for it to be changed using 'Forgot your password?' found ond the login page. We keep your data for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means that we save your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services.

Upon your written request, we will remove your account and all your personal information from our active database. Mail us with the same e-mail address that you use at Do-Grass to grant this request. The information will be deactivated as soon as possible. We may, in some circumstances, store in our files data that you have requested to be deleted, such as for troubleshooting our user agreement. Furthermore, such prior information is never completely removed from our database due to technical and legal limitations, including stored 'backup' systems. Therefore, you should not expect that all your personal information will be completely removed from our database in respones to your request.

e) Reviews

Finally, we collect reviews via the Trustpilot platform. If you leave a review then you are required to provide your name, place of residence and e-mail address. Trustpilot shares this information with us, so that we can link the review to your order. Trustpilot also publishes your name and place of residence on its own website. In some cases, Trustpilot may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. Trustpilot uses the collected data only for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review, they have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

The Grass Company will only pass on your data to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of any of the before mentioned purposes. The Grass Company uses the services of third parties for taking care of the internet environment (web hosting) and taking care of the IT infrastructure. The personal data will never be used for commercial purposes.

Personal data of minors (younger then 16 years) can only be processed with the explicit permission of the parents or legal representatives.

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask you to contact the processing manager above immediately. In addition, you always have the right to make a complaint to the supervising authority in the field of privacy protection.

It is possible that this privacy statement will be changed in the future. Our policy with regard to personal data is therefore regulary tested against current regulations. Changes are announced on this page.

Applicable law and competent courts.

Belgian law applies to this website. In the event of a dispute, only the courts of Ghent district, Ghent department, Belgium have jurisdiction.
